How To Identify Stink Bugs
Identifying a stink bug is relatively straightforward. Stink bugs are typically shield-shaped and measure around 0.5 to 1 inch in length. They come in various colors, but most species are brown or mottled with shades of brown and green. A distinctive feature is their five-sided or pentagon-shaped body. Stink bugs have a pair of antennae and six legs, like most insects. One of the key characteristics that sets them apart is the foul odor they emit when threatened or crushed, which is their primary defense mechanism. This unmistakable stench is a telltale sign that you’re dealing with a stink bug.
