• "Update: I spoke to the regional, she remedied the situation fast and effectively. Now I am back on the schedule and we spoke about my incident. All of a few clicks and things were fixed and without issue. So I’ve had Orkin for well over a year now. And they’ve been wonderful my technician Stephen absolute upstanding guy. Recently over the last 90 days there was a service that I had skipped. I’d let them know just like I would any other time that I’ve skipped the service and no issues. A week later after skipping service, a technician showed up to my house and did it anyway without my consent. I was billed $134. I got a call from the general manager, and I talked to him about my situation and disgruntlement. Told him what I was wanting to do and what I was gonna do if this was not remedied. He stated: “This is how you want to play this?” I said “I think it’s very fair that you look past this $134 and look at my account history to see how long I’ve been I’ve been with you and your company.” He said nothing was gonna be done pretty much by the sound of his voice and said I’d hear back from him later. Here I am waiting for the general manager and assistant manager to call me now and it’s been two months. The national Call center has been more helpful and resourceful than the local branch has. I will update this and keep you posted as I hear back as now the regional manager has been involved and I’m waiting on a call back."

• "I’m on a plan. My house is being overrun with ants and I’m leaving for vacation in two days. I call Orkin and they send me Chris on the same day. I show Chris the epic ant trails and I can see his excitement building. He grabbed two tubes of ant bait and laid it out thick and often. The ants immediately hit the bait, Chris exclaims “it’s like crack, they can’t resist”. Chris explained how this stuff works and spent a half hour hunting down the source which led us outside. • "I didn't use Orkin because of the misleading information by a representative. I explained it in full below When I called to get a quote for spraying for ants, not only was it more expensive than the local companies, they made me feel pressured into getting a 7 month service agreement. I asked about a one time and the gentleman said it's only effective to get the 7 time service agreement (which is a contract) and they didn't have a price quote for one time because it's not effective. He said that the 7 time service is not really a contract and is called an agreement because you can cancel anytime. I scheduled a service then called around. When I called back to ask more questions, because I was concerned about an agreement, the lady I talked to said I could get a one time service but they don't like telling people that because it's not effective. She also said that the 7 time service can only be cancelled by a 30 day notice letter, although she did say that most reasons are valid to cancel, I still didn't like the written notice and who knows whether they will consider what ever reason I might have as valid. I elected to not use Orkin because of the two totally different explanations and because of the written notice to cancel. I felt like the first person I talked to was pushy and misleading an the second person was helpful and answered all my questions. I don't like doing business with companies that give different answers each time I call. I ended up using Northern Nevada Pest Control. They are awesome!"
