Eliminate Pests in Franklin Square, NY

"After several calls in July to finally schedule an appointment for mid August the serviceman never showed. Now in October after several more calls to schedule an appointment a tech called to say he was available to come by. Though extremely polite and personable he wasn’t “certified yet “ to change the termite nate’s on my property. Felt like a placate visit for the delays. Plan to schedule a follow up to have the baits changed.Orkin should do better."

"I recommended them. I have an ongoing contract with them for termites. The first year you pay for all the work they do and the main thing is to keep it just that way. They came for their yearly inspection. Last year it was a$188 and the year before that when they did the initial stuff it was $1500. They are very knowledgeable about termites. They know termites and they know their habits and so forth and so on. They were able to tell quickly that it at one time it had compromised the house and that was before I lived here. They said it was not happening now and that’s the way we want to keep it. The guy who comes out to do my service is John Murray and he would give you his cell phone number and his office number. He is very knowledgeable and polite. He is not pushy and he tells you what you need to know. The thought of having termites is just horrendous. They were doing a very complete job the first year. $188 for a year is like an insurance policy."

"We contacted Orkin because we were extremely unsatisfied with our previous provider of pest control. We were looking for a company that was more proactive in pest prevention as much as control. Orkin made a very good first impression with a very thorough assessment of the house and set traps (individual snap traps, glue traps and tin cats) For the most part they have been punctual for their appointments however they did miss one and then inform us that we would have to wait a week to reschedule (I was not happy.) We have been consistently catching 1-2 mice over the course of the 3 months intervals between service. They have identified entry points into the house that I subsequently sealed however we were still having persistent problems. They scheduled someone to come and look at the crawl space under the family room to try and identify where the mice might be gaining entry which I really appreciated they then sealed a hole that they had found. Net net is we have stuck with them and things seem to be improving after they sealed the crawl space, but this time of year is the true test so the jury is still out."
