What types of fragrances do mice avoid?

Mice are known to avoid certain types of fragrances. In our city of Haslett, Michigan, we often recommend using scents that repel mice. One common fragrance mice tend to avoid is peppermint oil. Its strong odor acts as a natural deterrent for these rodents. Additionally, mice tend to steer clear of the scent of ammonia. However, it's important to note that these fragrances alone may not completely eliminate a mouse infestation. Seeking professional pest control assistance is crucial for effective rodent removal.
