"A contractor installing a ceiling fan in our bedroom ran across an aggressive ant colony in the attic while running an electrical connection. He, of course, recommended a ongoing treatment package that would treat for many types of insects in the home; but since they were not wood-destroying ants and weren't causing ongoing problems, I chose a one-time application to eliminate that particular nest. We arranged for a technician to do the treatment first thing Monday morning. He arrived promptly at 9 a.m. and had the job done within an hour. Our contractor was able to go up and complete the electrical job the next day, at which time he reported seeing no live ants."
